The project Boosting Roma Youth Employment tackles the issue of youth employment by improving the
capabilities of career professionals and young job-seekers both:

  • improving the experience and knowledge of the youth workers, social workers and other types of staff that
    work with youngsters in the employment and career guidance sector;
  • providing opportunities for youngsters to experience and discover what it means to have a certain career,
    to help them decide which is the right way for them from a early stage (14-19 years old); and at the same
    time to help them face an interview and help them to present their competencies in the best possible way
    (20-30 years old).

The main goal of the project is to systematically challenge the youth unemployment.
Training will develop skills of people working in/with our NGOs in job counseling and career guidance. They will learn how to transmit and teach the relevant information for their beneficiaries (youngsters, clients, people in community) better – how/where to search for job positions/schools, how to apply successfully and more. Some participants will also attend the other project activities as group leaders. Participants are expected to share the know-how and previous experiences among themselves.
